Club Background
History of Our Club
Utah Governor Scott Matheson announced the formation of Friendship
Force of Utah in September 1978. Our first visit in 1979 was between
Maracaibo, Venezuela with 254 Utah members attending and at the same
time we hosted 254 Venezuelan's in Salt Lake. We have been active since
this time with over 55 incoming visits and 53 outgoing cultural trips.
Our Club
As a member of the Friendship Force,
I recognize that I can make a difference.
I
recognize that I have a mission. That mission is to be a friend to the
people of the world. As I embark upon this adventure, I know that
others will be watching me. I know that through my example to my own
fellow citizen and the people of other nations the cause of friendship,
love and peace will be furthered.
